Wetroom with separate bath

  • Location: Scouthead, Saddleworth
  • Installed in: 2012
  • Timescale: 3 weeks

Details:

Our customers existing bathroom had a small window with obscure glass, and faced panoramic views at the back of their home. The bedroom adjacent to the bathroom looked onto a road and a neighbouring property. We moved the bathroom to the roadside room, and by taking wasted space from the landing and altering door openings we were left with a large room to create an impressive opulent feel.

In the old bathroom that was to become a bedroom, we ripped out the bathroom, removed the tiles, installed a larger window with clear glass, matching the window finishing to the rest of the property, installed a new radiator and replastered. We also built a window seat and a fret cover over the radiator.

The new bathroom could easily accommodate a separate wetroom area and large double ended bath. We installed block walls to create a walled in wetroom,  built a false wall to hide the new unsightly soil pipe and to create a void to have a feature recess over the bath. A long line of made to measure vanity units with granite worktops and underfloor heating completed the look of this new bathroom in this period character property.

Other projects completed for this customer:

Cloakroom and bedroom.

Customer comment:

“To have our home modified so much whilst still living in it was very daunting, but we loved Tim’s ideas and knew that it would be worth it once it was complete. Over the whole three weeks the team, and at some times two teams working in our home were so tidy and polite and every night when they left we could see so much progress. Our new layout upstairs is so much better now, thanks to Tim and his great ideas, and we love our bathroom!”
